Its Coming to an End

Since I never actually posted this over a year ago. I decided to do it now. I come back and look at the blog from time to time because this was the best 4 months of my life, making my time at UGA the best 4 years. So, I want this to be complete.

My life in España is coming to end, it's very bittersweet. I love España but I am ready to get back to the US. I had so many amazing moments here in Spain and traveling to different countries. I will be back in Spain soon... whenever I get enough money ha. There are soooo many other places I want to see as well. Oh yes to answer the big/obvious question... YES!!!! MY SPANISH HAS IMPROVED! I wouldn't say I'm completely fluent and what not, that takes years BUT I am confident saying that I am bilingual and do speak Spanish. I actually think in Spanglish or Espangles now and that probably won't change. Maybe after being back in the US for a little while, but I am incorporating Spanish into my daily life to keep getting better :) Anywho... more pics from random times in Valencia!

When in Roma...

Ciao Bellas... Yes I know I've been slacking but I had finals and what not which are done now. I'm done with undergrad wooohooo!! Anywho Rome was lovely, however I liked Milan better just because it was smaller. However, Rome has all of the main historic attractions. Literally everywhere you turn there is some monument or sculpture or something ancient-looking. I really like that about Rome!

Treviiii Babyyy

Make a wish!!

Most popular gelato place! It's crazy in there you have to get a ticket at the entrance.

The Pantheon that we searched for so we could meet our friend Jenny, and of course couldn't find it until hours later. Go figure. And we didn't get to see Jenny at all :(

Piazza Navona

There's tons of artists selling their awesome paintings here, and doing portraits of people!

Hmm.......

This person rides in style... love the Beamer.

Tiber River

Oh yea this selfie was right after this dude from Nepal that had a little booth, table thing selling things told us that he could do a "black accent- Wassup homie" and that "black people don't have good grammatics" Me- "OH. Really -____- " *gives him evil look* Him- "Oh no no no well you speak perfectly..." Me- "Yea, of course." *flips hair and walks away* Ok I did not flip my hair (it was in a bun as usual) I just thought that added dramatic effect. However, Marissa and I weren't too happy with that comment. SMH

Random gelato place... isn't that just the cutest thing! Love it

The huge building at the end of Via de Corso (where everything is pretty much) that the Romans hate, because it looks so modern

The elevator out our hostel. I felt like I was in a movie.

The Spanish Steps... I have pictures with me on them... somewhere...

I did get a chance to visit Vatican City. I couldn't miss out on that! The weather was kinda sucky, but luckily everything is inside pretty much. And the lines really aren't that bad.

Starting with Saint Peter's Basilica...  I was in awe. It's HUGE

The inside...

St. Peter

The Crypt in the basement, where Popes are supposedly buried

The Vatican Museum... The Sistine Chapel is a part of this, which is really like the main attraction but of course it's at the end of the museum and literally took FOREVER to get to it.

View from one of the rooms

Not exactly sure what was... bronze something

Michelangelo's work... the main attraction! Which I thought was kinda overrated, but still happy I got to see it.

They don't allow pictures but I mean was I really gonna leave there without pics?!

As you can see it was hard to sneak some lol not as much of thug as I thought I was. But you get the idea of what it looks like, it's actually a lot smaller than I thought.

The exit

The Colosseum. Thankfully the weather cleared up when we got here... Perfecto for my pics. I love them. The Colosseum isn't like anything I've ever seen... again reminding me that the US is pretty basic with no huge historic monuments :-/

Just look at the sky... reallyyy!!
